The Onix Battle in the Bubble Tournament- Sat October 25th/ Sun October 26th, 2025

Come play with us at the Kingston Racquet Centre located at 1025 Innovation Drive, Kingston, Ontario.
Why play in a Pickleball Authority tournament?
- Amazing venue, air conditioned, air completely refreshing once every hour.  Highest ceilings of any pickleball club in Canada, lots of room around the courts(ATP shots welcome here!), clearly lined courts, showers in the changing rooms, lots of free parking, a pickleball pro shop, welcoming & friendly, and lots of viewing areas.

-  A first class experience, no waiting around.  We have played in tournaments, we don't believe in playing 6 games over 8 hours.   In fact, we share the times below so you know before you register, what time you should be playing.

-  It's about the players, not profit.  We limit the amount of teams and players in divisions so more players medal.  We focus on making sure you get some great games in, and that more players make the playoffs and win.

-  We enter results in DUPR as we run our tournaments at the Kingston Racquet Centre, an official DUPR club.

-  Snacks on the sidelines and a water filling station.

-  In addition to medals for the winners, we invented random prize draws!  Everyone that enters can win a prize!  From pickleball merch, gift cards for restaurants and movies to other great prizes, you can win on court and off court!

- Come experience a tournament with us!   We are proud to use the indoor Onix Fuse yellow Pickleball for this tournament.  The Onix Fuse is the official ball of the Kingston Racquet Centre.

NEW:  Hotel Preferred Pricing Exclusive Rates for athletes.

The Onix Battle in the Bubble Categories

Here are the formats for the Battle in the Bubble Tournament.  Most events will have 5 teams, some events will have 6 teams max.

5 teams in your bracket.
Each team plays every other team once.
Games to 11 win by 2 traditional scoring for parts of the tournament, other times may be to 15 win by 2 traditional scoring.

After all round robin games are complete, teams will be ranked on the following criteria:

  • Number of Wins: Team with the most wins ranks highest.
  • Head-to-Head Result: If two teams are tied in wins, the team that won the match between them ranks higher.
  • Point Differential (Points For - Points Against): If three or more teams are tied, or if the head-to-head doesn't resolve a tie between two teams (e.g., if they didn't play each other in a specific scenario, which won't happen in a full round robin), calculate the point differential across all round robin games. The higher differential ranks higher.
  • Points For: If still tied, the team with more total points scored across all round robin games ranks higher.
  • Coin Toss: As a last resort.

The top 4 teams will advance to the playoffs.  Note to the 5th team and teams finished their matches.  We will have empty fun courts if players want to play.

Playoff Bracket:

  • Semi-Final 1: Rank 1 vs. Rank 4- 1 game to 15 win by 2, max 20.
