David's Story

David has been playing
pickleball since 2013 and has competed successfully at the 4.5 level in
tournaments across Canada. He became the first-ever Pickleball Director at the
Kingston Racquet Centre (KRC) in 2022, where he now coaches players of all ages
and skill levels. His deep understanding of the game — combined with his
hands-on teaching style — has made him a respected coach, influencer, and
trusted resource for the growing pickleball community.

From Third Shot Drop to Pickleball Authority

David and his wife Alice founded
Third Shot Drop in 2016 — a passion project focused on helping beginners fall
in love with pickleball and helping experienced players up their game. Over the
years, their coaching programs gained popularity across Ontario and Quebec,
becoming must-attend sessions for players looking to sharpen their skills.

In May 2023, to align with the
exciting opening of the Kingston Racquet Centre, David rebranded Third Shot
Drop into what is now known as Pickleball Authority — a one-stop destination
for lessons, equipment, and expert advice.

The Pro Shop

Located inside the Kingston
Racquet Centre at 1025 Innovation Drive, Pickleball Authority's pro shop offers
a carefully curated selection of the best paddles, balls, shoes, bags, eyewear,
and accessories. Whether you're new to the game or a competitive player looking
for an edge, you'll find the right gear at the right price — all backed by
expert guidance from David and his team.

What sets Pickleball Authority
apart? You can demo paddles on the courts before you buy, ensuring you find the
perfect fit for your playing style. This try-before-you-buy approach helps
players make confident purchases — something you simply won't find at
traditional sporting goods stores or online retailers.

The Kingston Racquet Centre

The Kingston Racquet Centre, a partnner of Tennis Clubs of Canada and Canadian tennis legend Milos Raonic, features:
•12 dedicated pickleball courts
•6 tennis courts
•Changing areas with showers
•An upper viewing mezzanine for socializing and team
events
•Lots of free parking
•The Pickleball Authority pro shop on-site

Giving Back

Pickleball Authority believes in
giving back to the community. David and his team proudly support local
organizations including:
